Happy New Year

Lin and Li spent their first Chinese New Year’s Even…in sound sleep. I couldn’t believe how they and Michael could sleep through it!!! Every year, it is the loudest night and we could see fireworks right in front of our eyes. We are on the 8th floor with great view.

We ate at home for the New Year’s Eve dinner and went out to one of the oldest Shanghaiese restaurants called Xinghualou (杏花楼) on New Year’s Day. My aunt and his son Fenny were with us, Lin and Li had a great time looking at the lights there and they were so excited even after we got home and they didn’t go to sleep until midnight. It is very unusual, especially for Lin since he sleeps a lot. Li lately just doesn’t want to sleep, a couple of days ago he didn’t sleep at all during the day (that’s a first) but at least he sleeps through the night.
